Finally, something we can agree on.
HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) — Texas executed a Mexican citizen Thursday for the rape-slaying of a teenager after he and the White House pleaded in vain for a Supreme Court stay, saying he was denied help from his home country that could have helped him avoid the death penalty. In his last minutes, Humberto Leal repeatedly said he was sorry and accepted responsibility. “I have hurt a lot of people. … I take full blame for everything. I am sorry for what I did,” he said in the death chamber.
“One more thing,” he said as the drugs began taking effect. Then he shouted twice, “Viva Mexico!” “Ready warden,” he said. “Let’s get this show on the road.” He grunted, snored several times and appeared to go to sleep, then stopped all breathing movement. The 38-year-old mechanic was pronounced dead at 6:21 p.m., 10 minutes after the lethal drugs began flowing into his arms. LINK
This story is utterly disgusting not only because of the actions of the depraved murdered but because of the actions of the Obama administration. Can you imagine the President of the United States trying to allow a rapist and murderer to escape punishment? (In fairness President Bush advocated the same policy but not as intimately). He was wrong as well.
That the Obamas – and all libs – get “help from the media.” Shocka! Well, at least she’s honest.
In an interview with CNN, First Lady Michelle Obama thanks the media for their “support” and “kindness.”
CNN reporter: “How’s the family ready for this [the election]? It’s going to be quite vicious, isn’t it? How do you prepare for that?”
First Lady Michelle Obama: “You know, it’s … we’re ready, you know. Our children, you know, could care less about what we’re doing. We work hard to do that. Fortunately, we have help from the media. I have to say this: I’m very grateful for the support and kindness that we’ve gotten. People have respected their privacy and in that way, I think, you know, no matter what people may feel about my husband’s policies or what have you, they care about children and that’s been good to see.” (LINK)
Well Moochelle, none of that will belp you and your husband’s terrible record in 2012.
Yesterday, the so-called commander-in-chief addressed the U.S. Army’s 10th Mountain Division. During the address, he dishonored the troops by confusing the names of two Medal of Honor winners. Blackfive has the story:
“First time I saw 10th Mountain Division, you guys were in southern Iraq. When I went back to visit Afghanistan, you guys were the first ones there. I had the great honor of seeing some of you because a comrade of yours, Jared Monti, was the first person who I was able to award the Medal of Honor to who actually came back and wasn’t receiving it posthumously.”
It’s almost painful to see this guy constantly make an ass out of himself.
The average monthly casualty rate for U.S. military forces serving in Afghanistan has increased 5-fold since President Barack Obama was inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2009.
During the Bush presidency, which ended on Jan. 20, 2009 with the inauguration of President Obama, U.S. troops were present in Afghanistan for 87.4 months and suffered 570 casualties—a rate of 6.5 deaths per month.
During the Obama presidency, through today, U.S. troops have been present in Afghanistan for 29.1 months and have suffered 970 casualties—a rate of 33.3 deaths per month. (LINK)
No worries. The MSM will take the president to task with tough questions and thorough investigations any minute now. /snark
Wow. Maybe people are finally waking up to see this guy as the fraud he is?
By a margin of 61 percent to 37 percent, a Bloomberg National Poll conducted June 17-20 shows Americans say they believe that Obama will have had his chance to make the economy “substantially better” by the end of 2012.
Only 30 percent of respondents said they are certain to vote for the president and 36 percent said they definitely won’t. Among likely independent voters, only 23 percent said they will back his re-election, while 36 percent said they definitely will look for another candidate.
“As far as the economy goes, I don’t see that he has delivered on the change that he promised,” said Sharon Ortiz, a 38-year-old independent voter from Hampton, Virginia, who supported Obama in 2008. “The jobs that he promised — I haven’t seen it.” (LINK)
It’s still a long way to the election, but this is a good sign. America cannot afford four more years of Obamanomics.
No explanation necessary, Joe Biden sums it up in plain english.
The only thing more incredible than the Obama administration’s inept and incoherent foreign-policy is the continued existence of the U.N. Why exactly does this unelected foreign body still exist and why do American taxpayers continue to fund it? Listen as clueless diplomats heap praise on a democratic Libya. No kidding.
REUTERS – Muammar Gaddafi’s forces pushed towards the Libyan rebel stronghold of Benghazi on Wednesday and his government predicted victory within days while world powers debated imposing a no-fly zone to help stop him.
Foreign powers condemn the crackdown but show little appetite for action to support an uprising that was inspired by pro-democracy rebellions that toppled the Egyptian and Tunisian presidents. A Gaddafi victory and a crackdown on protests in Bahrain could turn the tide in the region against pro-democracy movements.
Supporters of a no-fly zone to halt Libyan government air strikes on rebels circulated a draft resolution at the U.N. Security Council on Tuesday that would authorise one, but other states said questions remained. LINK
I find it horrifying that the dictator of Libya is more decisive and has a bigger set of ballz than the President of the United States of America. Maybe we have it all wrong. If Obama doesn’t think Gadhafi doesn’t deserve to be removed after using tanks, troops and air strikes against his own people, (civilians) then maybe we should take a look at bringing him in to straighten out our country. Clearly the guy can stand up to international pressure, he’s a veteran with real military experience and is willing to make hard decisions regardless of pressure. Right now… we can use a dose of leadership like that.
Plus, he looks great in uniform.
