Clearly this is what happens to liberal women who can't get dates...

Comparing skepticism of man-made global warming to racist beliefs, an Oregon-based professor of sociology and environmental studies has labeled doubts about anthropogenic climate change a “sickness” for which individuals need to be “treated”. Professor Kari Norgaard, who is currently appearing at the ‘Planet Under Pressure’ conference in London, has presented a paper in which she argues that “cultural resistance” to accepting the premise that humans are responsible for climate change “must be recognized and treated” as an aberrant sociological behavior. LINK

Ok I was a bit hard on the  nutty professor. But you know what? I really don’t care. This woman is dangerous. It’s liberal, pseudo- intellectuals like her who think they and they only are smart enough to tell the rest of us what to think. Anyone who doesn’t agree with her and her junk science clearly needs to be re-educated. Whats next professor, round up’s of all those who don’t see things your way? Maybe we can ship all the unbelievers off to camps… get my drift? Lest anyone forget the policies that led to the Nazi holocaust of World War II were byproducts of liberal thinking that spread to Europe from America. Anyone in a position of influence like she is, who advocates policies of “re-education” is completely irresponsible and should be fired immediately.

As Jurriaan Maessen documented yesterday, the ‘Planet Under Pressure’ confab at which Norgaard is appearing to push this insane drivel is nothing other than a strategy session for neo-eugenicists to hone their population control agenda.

These are very frightening people….  article is well worth five minutes of your time.

Brilliant! Funny because it’s true.

Audi of America President didn’t bother mincing words on his opinions on electric cars and plug-in hybrids during a recent interview with MSN Autos. He went particularly hard on the Chevrolet Volt, which he called “a car for idiots.” He then added, “No one is going to pay a $15,000 premium for a car that competes with a (Toyota) Corolla.

So there are not enough idiots who will buy it.” The Volt, you’ll recall, is expected to cost around $40,000 once tax credits are applied. De Nysschen also laid into full-on electric vehicles: “They’re for the intellectual elite who want to show what enlightened souls they are.” LINK

The latest installment of “Eco-Wars” finds the Obama administration and their “environmentalist wacko” allies embroiled in yet another green fraud. This time it’s the Chevy Volt. A cornerstone of Obama’s auto industry takeover, the Volt is a terrible car that no one wants. Sales are dismal and the best customer so far has turned out to be (are you ready?) the federal government. Duh.

The Volt and other electric hybrids are supposed to be the answer to our nations future transportation needs. Instead they rely on unproven and apparently unsafe battery technology. The Volt in particular is horribly overpriced and performs poorly compared to conventional gasoline powered cars. Read the rest of this entry »

Cry freedom!

Congressional negotiators struck a deal Thursday that overturns the new rules that were to have banned sales of traditional incandescent light bulbs.

That agreement is tucked inside the massive 1,200-page spending bill that funds the government through the rest of this fiscal year, and which both houses of Congress will vote on Friday. Mr. Obama is expected to sign the bill, which heads off a looming government shutdown.

Congressional Republicans dropped the policy restrictions they tried to attach to the bill, but won inclusion of the light bulb provision, which prevents the administration from carrying through a 2007 law that would have set energy efficiency standards that effectively made the traditional light bulb obsolete. If you listen closely, you can actually hear the liberals’ heads exploding.

The scary part is so many young people today don’t understand the lessons that their parents and grandparents learned the hard way.

Senate Republicans block Obama nominee:

Arguing that she is too activist for a position on the federal circuit court,  Senate Republicans on Tuesday blocked President Obama’s nominee to the U.S.  Court of Appeals seat previously held by Supreme Court Justice John Roberts.

So the liberals are bent out of shape after the Senate Republicans shot down an Obama administration nominee today. Cry me a river. After this administration forced the extremely left wing and radically liberal Sonja Sotomayor and Elana Kagan down our throats and on to the Supreme Court they are acting as (typical whiny-assed liberals). Boo Hoo the bad Republicans blocked our nominee. Meanwhile they think nothing of doing as they please when they have the power. As long as they keep offering up extremists like this I say WELL DONE boys:

But Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, ranking member of  the Senate Judiciary Committee, said he was troubled by Halligan’s record  arguing against trying enemy combatants in military tribunals as well as her  support for “nuisance” lawsuits like suing gun manufacturers for crimes  committed with weapons.

He added that as solicitor general for former New  York Gov. Eliot Spitzer, Halligan also took “activists positions” like  supporting NOW’s claim that pro-life groups had engaged in extortion; the use of  race in college and law school admissions is constitutional; illegal immigrants  should be awarded back pay in labor disputes in the United States; and the Clean  Air Act authorizes the Environmental Protection Agency to regulate greenhouse  gases. LINK

She’s well “qualified” because she’s a typical left wing nut case who thinks the law is whatever she FEELS like it is, not what is actually written or intended or God forbid the will of the people. Good riddance.

Few scientists are betting against Einstein yet, but the phantom neutrinos of Opera are still eluding explanation.

Two months after scientists reported that they had clocked subatomic particles known as neutrinos going faster than the speed of light, to the astonishment and vocal disbelief of most of the world’s physicists, the same group of scientists, known as Opera, said on Friday that it had performed a second experiment that confirmed its first results and eliminated one possible explanation for how the experiment could have gone wrong.

But the group admitted that many questions remain. “This is not the end of the story,” said Antonio Ereditato of the University of Bern in Switzerland, the spokesman for the collaboration, explaining that physicists would not accept the result that neutrinos could go faster than light until other experiments had come up with the same conclusion. “We are convinced, but that is not enough in science,” he said.

Other physicists said they remained skeptical that the universe was about to be overturned. Read the rest of this entry »

These solar car competitors could teach the Obama administration a simple lesson: it takes HARD WORK to perfect an idea for mass consumption. Just wasting a half a billion dollars doesn't get the job done.

Looking through walls is no longer something we read about in comic books or watch in Supermanmovies. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Lincoln Laboratory has presented new radar technology that would allow humans to see through a solid wall.

Ok as we know the “Occupy Wall Street” mob is attacking just about everything that makes America great including free enterprise and capitalism. On some level we can excuse the dopey twenty-somethings in the crowd as victims of ignorance and poor schooling. We expect college kids to be idiots. Just go to any campus on a Friday or Saturday night and you will see what I mean. But there are exceptions as we will see.

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.

2. What one person receives without working for… another person must work for without receiving.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from someone else.

4. You cannot MULTIPLY wealth by DIVIDING it!

5. When half of the people learn that they do not have to work because the OTHER HALF is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because someone else is going to get what they worked for… that is the beginning of the end of a nation!
