MUMIA CHEATS THE HANGMAN

Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams announced this morning he will not seek the death penalty against Mumia Abu-Jamal. Williams said that he saw no point in triggering another two or three decades of appeals. “Every reviewing court has found the trial fair and the guilty verdict sound,” he said. “. . . Our best remaining option is to let Mr. Abu-Jamal to die in prison.”Friday marks 30 years since Abu-Jamal’s arrest for the murder of Philadelphia Police Officer Daniel Faulkner, who was on patrol Dec. 9, 1981 when he was gunned down. A jury unanimously handed down a guilty verdict the following year, and Abu-Jamal was sentenced to death. LINK

After thirty years, the wheels of our criminal justice system have finally ground to a halt. Convicted Cop killer  Mumia-Abu Jamal will not get the death penalty he so richly deserves. Years of frivolous and baseless legal appeals have made it impossible to re-sentence this scumbag. So today Phila. District Attorney Seth Williams has announced that Philadelphia will no longer pursue the death penalty for Jamal.

That means Jamal will now most likely be taken off death row and moved back into the general population where he will do interviews with left-wing media sycophants and generally be hailed as a hero by his fellow murderers. As for the family of murdered police officer Daniel Faulkner who did their part every step of the way throughout this disgraceful process?

They will just have to get over it.

Williams is a despicable person. He is more concerned with his clearance rate than he is about justice. He is not a popular man with the rank and file of the PPD.

Douchebag Smerconish is already spinning this as a good thing, since the death penalty would never be implemented anyway. I’d rather see him rot on death row than in gen. pop.

    • Smerconish is a flaming assh*le. He is on everyday blathering his closet liberalism acting like a concerned, reasonable pol. BS. He was on the other day advocating a third party. Trouble is the rest of the country has no idea what a tool he is…yet.

    Simply pathetic… period…

  3. I’d volunteer to pull the switch, squeeze the syringe, or yank the trap door – it should have been done 29 years ago. Just when you think this case can’t get any more preposterous – shame on the judicial system.

For Maureen Faulkner, it’s the nightmare that never ends. I can’t fathom how she must feel every time this POS comes out with a book or gives an interview.

    Cap:
I’m very glad that I’m not the ONLY one that mentioned this travesty of justice today.

    Mrs C:
There is a VERY long line ahead of you (and I’m right behind you in that same line)

    Good call, Cap.

    Roll safe out there.

Maybe this is a good thing that Wesley is going to the General Population.. There are probably many “skinheads” and Aryan Brotherhood members who would Looovvve to shank Wesley’s ass just for the fun of it. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy,Jake. :
