PHILLY TEACHERS PROTEST SPENDING CUTS

I guess the Philly school teachers didn’t get the memo. Thanks to decades of mismanagement, compounded by the Obama recession, Philadelphia – like every other major Democrat-run city – is out of money. Not that this will stop them from yelling, “Gimme, gimme gimme!”

About 200 people against school budget cuts spent the last day of school rallying in front of the Philadelphia School District headquarters. Teachers, students and parents held a “People’s” school reform commission rally on the plaza.

Protesters say they’re concerned about the future of this city’s education system: “How do we get this money back? We need the money! We need the money!” (LINK)

You can get it back by voting out the Democrats and voting for someone who is fiscally responsible. But you teachers won’t do that, will you? Of course you won’t. You are beholden to your liberal union masters. So please, don’t ask the rest of us to feel sorry for you.

  1. Bob G. says:

    Cap:
WIfey’s a teacher here in Hoosierland, and she wouldn’t stand with such people.
Not when the ENTIRE SYSTEM and ALL the teachers jobs might be AT STAKE.

They call it “seeing the BIG PICTURE” for a reason…a reason THESE teachers haven’; figured out yet, even with their own education.

Makes me sad to see this.
Unheard of in MY days in school.

    Good post.

    Roll safe.

  2. My son’s Chinese teacher got cut, which is a shame. Great teacher, nice guy, and the children loved his class.
