When it comes to politics like most people I believe EVERY politician will say or do anything for a vote. So it’s important to look past the human element of politics when asking yourself what you believe in. What are the principles or policies that are closest to your heart? In that respect the left makes it easy for me to see what I DON’T believe in. These people advocate or believe in things that I and millions of other Americans will NEVER agree or compromise on. Take a look at these examples and ask yourself if these people reflect what you TRULY believe in or what is best for our country:

Seattle school renames Easter eggs ‘Spring Spheres’

“I went to the teacher to get her approval and she wanted to ask the administration to see if it was okay,” Jessica explained. “She said that I could do it as long as I called this treat ‘spring spheres.’ I couldn’t call them Easter eggs.”

Rather than question the decision, Jessica opted to “roll with it.” But the third graders had other ideas. “When I took them out of the bag, the teacher said, ‘Oh look, spring spheres’ and all the kids were like ‘Wow, Easter eggs.’ So they knew,” Jessica said.

The Seattle elementary school isn’t the only government organization using spring over Easter. The city’s parks department has removed Easter from all of its advertised egg hunts. LINK

Would we dare rename an ISLAMIC custom?

Nancy Pelosi: “Elections Shouldn’t Matter as Much as They Do”

Perhaps it’s sour grapes, or perhaps it’s a recent reawakening, but in a speech by Nancy Pelosi at Tufts University earlier this week, the former speaker of the House had some advice for her Republican colleagues in particular and some reflections on elections in general:

To my Republican friends: take back your party. So that it doesn’t matter so much who wins the election, because we have shared values about the education of our children, the growth of our economy, how we defend our country, our security and civil liberties, how we respect our seniors. Because there are so many things at risk right now — perhaps in another question I’ll go into them, if you want. But the fact is that elections shouldn’t matter as much as they do…But when it comes to a place where there doesn’t seem to be shared values then that can be problematic for the country, as I think you can see right now.

This seems like a bit of change for Pelosi, who in 2009 suggested that the results of a special election in the 23rd Congressional District of New York were a big win for health care. LINK

It goes without saying that this woman is (in my opinion) insane. I have real doubts about her mental stability. For an elected official to come out and say the things she says over and over is despicable. People HAVE DIED for the right to have their vote registered and counted. She should resign or be removed from office. She is clearly unfit.

Harry Reid Omits “Under God” While Citing Pledge Of Allegiance

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) talks about how he enjoys hearing the pledge of allegiance at the beginning of the Senate session, however does not say “under God.” Instead, he says “one nation, indivisible.” LINK

I have less than no respect for this guy. He’s as bad as they come. I’d rather he doesn’t say the pledge at all. After all that’s how he REALLY feels.

UN document would give ‘Mother Earth’ same rights as humans.

UNITED NATIONS — Bolivia will this month table a draft United Nations treaty giving “Mother Earth” the same rights as humans — having just passed a domestic law that does the same for bugs, trees and all other natural things in the South American country. The bid aims to have the UN recognize the Earth as a living entity that humans have sought to “dominate and exploit” — to the point that the “well-being and existence of many beings” is now threatened.

It also establishes a Ministry of Mother Earth, and provides the planet with an ombudsman whose job is to hear nature’s complaints as voiced by activist and other groups, including the state.

In a 2008 pamphlet his entourage distributed at the UN as he attended a summit there, 10 “commandments” are set out as Bolivia’s plan to “save the planet” — beginning with the need “to end capitalism.” LINK

Of course I saved the best for last. The UN should be dissolved. Period. This organization has once again demonstrated its utter lack of credibility on ANY issue it takes up. Now we are supposed to submit our modern society and way of life to borderline neo-lithic indigenous hut dwellers for approval. I refuse to listen to ANYTHING that comes out of the UN. It is high time for the American public to recognize this organization for what it is: a corrupt fraud, a danger to American values and a haven those who wish us harm.

I chose these four stories from todays headlines because they illustrate the core values the left stands for. Values that I will NEVER identify with. I share no common ground with people who even casually entertain a line of thinking that is remotely close to these ideas. So for me the choice is obvious.

    Screw ’em all.

  2. John D says:

Great post, Cap. Dead on, as always. Nothing’s going to change until we can clean out that cesspool called Washington. Term limits would help, but I don’t see that happening any time soon.

I love that pic at the top of the post. How much you want to bet that at least half the money-haters in that crowd bought a lottery ticket the day that picture was taken?

  3. Old NFO says:

Good post!!! Dead on the money!

  4. Making money is the epitome of evil to these people…

  5. Bob G. says:

Perhaps if these loons were sent to a REAL socialist opr communist SOCIETY for say…oh, FIVE YEARS…bet’cha thy’d be breaking down the door to get BACK to America.
    Just a thought.
    Good post!

    Roll safe.

  6. Ingineer66 says:

An Easter egg is not a sphere it is a semi-oblate ellipsoid.

What is amazing is how much media and political power all of these nutjobs get.
