Zapata, Texas (CNN) — Despite the grisly slaying of the Mexican government’s lead investigator, the search for an American reported missing in a lake straddling the border will go on, U.S. and Mexican authorities vowed Wednesday.

“We continue the search on this side of the border,” Zapata County, Texas, Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez Jr. told CNN. “We’re also sending a message that we’re here.”

But their determination has gotten them no closer to finding the body of David Hartley, who was reported to have been shot during a September 30 boating trip by gunmen investigators believe are linked to a Mexican drug gang.

“Our investigators are out there right now. A body has still not been found,” said Ruben Dario-Rios, a spokesman for the attorney general of Tamaulipas state.

The search resumed after this week’s killing of state police official Rolando Armando Flores Villegas, whose severed head was delivered to the Mexican military in a suitcase Tuesday, officials said. Tiffany Hartley, the missing man’s wife, said she and her family were praying for the Flores family. LINK

Ok I think it’s safe to say now that our closest neighbor to the south, Mexico is completely out of control. Not only are Mexican drug cartels indiscriminately killing innocent Americans tourists, they are BEHEADING government officials. The situation in Mexico clearly represents a clear and present danger to the security of every citizen of the United States of America. Either through direct violence or narco-human trafficking the situation especially along the border states is untenable. This tragic story defines the horror of what is going on down there yet most of the MSM is ignoring it.

Yet what is our government doing about it? Actually we all know the answer, suing  ARIZONA! El Presidente Obama stays as far away from the border as he can. He won’t talk about it, he won’t be about it and he won’t do anything about it! It is simply incredible. As bad as it was under the Bush administration, the violence has grown (predictably) to a higher level. The Mexican government can’t combat the narco-terrorists effectively because most of the government is corrupt and compromised. Those who aren’t suffer the fate of this prosecutor. The first time I heard this guys name was in connection with this investigation and two days later he ends up with his head cut off.

This November we have a chance to change the course of our country. We have to replace the ineffective, corrupt liberals with dependable conservatives. Our President thinks ignoring mounting international problems will make them go away. Clearly the Mexico drug cartels aren’t going anywhere. Neither is N. Korea or Iran. We need a leader who is up to the task of leading the free world, not a community organizer. We need leadership and strength, qualities in short supply in Washington these days. LINK

How many Americans are going to have to die before our government acts?

  1. Fuck ’em.. lock and defend the borders…

Shoot to kill, drive on! …hooah?

  2. Raptor says:

Like I keep saying: remember the area that’s been declared off limits to US civilans? Send up a couple AC-130Us and declare the area a free-fire zone.

  3. Ingineer66 says:

I am with Raptor, if the area is closed off to Americans then it should be safe to immediately make it a live fire bombing range for our boys and girls to practice on.

And just like Janet and Barry say the border is safer now than it has ever been.
