The normally nonchalant Barack Obama looked nonplussed, as Nancy Pelosi glowered behind.

Surrounded by middle-aged white guys — a sepia snapshot of the days when such pols ran Washington like their own men’s club — Joe Wilson yelled “You lie!” at a president who didn’t.

But, fair or not, what I heard was an unspoken word in the air: You lie, boy! LINK

Okay, so just to be fair – I looked again at the tape of Serena Williams unloading on a line judge this past weekend. I thought maybe I was a bit hard on her. After all, she’s an athlete and her tirade came at a critical point in a close match. I know there are times when adrenaline can take over and a person can easily get caught up in the moment. While I am sure she didn’t mean to lose it, she did.

As I watched the media coverage of the incident, I was right. There was no mention of any racial angle at all. They covered it pretty much the way I thought they would – as an “athlete loses control” story. No racial angle at all. The fact that the line judge was Asian hasn’t got much play. Hey, score one for post-racial America.

Yet just as I started getting that warm, fuzzy, HOPE /CHANGE feeling inside, I came across N.Y. Times “columnist” Maureen Dowd’s psychotic rant about the racial implications of South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson’s outburst the other night during another of the Dear Leader’s bore fests. Apparently, while Serena Williams’ outburst wasn’t racially motivate, Joe Wilson’s was. There you have it.

I am not going to go into the nauseating details of Dowd’s literary psychosis. Safe to say, as usual the insane left sums up any opposition to President Obama as racially motivated. In the thin air of the left -O-sphere only OPPOSITION to the President is racially motivated and SUPPORT is of course based on his enlightened positions on the core issues of our time. So enlightened are his positions on health care and taxes for example, that 1.5 million people just marched on Washington D.C. this week.

One thing I will point out is Maureen Dowd apparently has few, if any, functioning  memory cells left. She points out how much respect President Bush was apparently accorded (Really?) during his tenure.

But Wilson’s shocking disrespect for the office of the president — no Democrat ever shouted “liar” at W. when he was hawking a fake case for war in Iraq — convinced me: Some people just can’t believe a black man is president and will never accept it.

Um Maureen – it was during President Bush’s’ administration that new levels in disrespect for both the President and the Office he holds were reached, thanks to the left. We even saw filmmakers making movies essentially portraying his assassination. LINK

Ms. Dowd pads her column with line after line of irrelevant nonsense trying desperately to portray Mr. Wilson as she and every other left wing loon likes to portray white men – as Neanderthal racists. But she falls short. In fact, it is she who comes off as the whining, race baiting, elitist that she really is. Whaaa, Whaaa, Whaaa. Joe Wilson shouted at Obama because he can’t stand a black man being President. Whaaa.

It makes no difference to her and the rest of the left that real Americans reject this President’s attempts to take us down the path of socialism. It makes no difference to her that real Americans reject his attempted takeover of our health care system. It makes no difference to her that real Americans reject providing health care for illegal aliens (despite the President’s lies). It makes no difference that many of the  real (WHITE) Americans who voted for this President are now rejecting his black militant strain of left wing politics. None of this makes a difference to her. It is the President who has squandered all the good will extended to our first black President.

Reading  Ms. Dowd’s column, it’s apparent that in post-racial America it’s better to be a black athlete or President than a white Congressman.

Gotta love the line, “I’ll shove this f**king ball down your f**king throat.” Stay classy, Serena!

  2. Ingineer66 says:

Did I hear correctly that she had broken a racket earlier in the tournament because she was mad about calls? In all the years of John McEnroe’s temper tantrums he never threatened violence against the officials. Even in the violent sport of football where many players have steroid inflamed tempers they do not threaten officials like this. She was out of line and it sounds like a suspension may be on the way.

  3. Ingineer- You are correct sir.

I found this by googling “maureen dowd is an idiot”. Apparently, Maureen’s been a idiot for a long time.
