OBAMA ACCEPTS LOAN FROM BOA

Remember when the Obama campaign started calling Charlotte’s Bank of American Stadium “Panther Stadium” to distance itself from the Wall Street fatcats representing the 1%? It seems their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Obama For America took out a $15 million loan from Bank of America last month, according to the campaign’s October monthly FEC report. The loan was incurred on September 4 and is due November 14, eight days after the election. OFA received an interest rate of 2.5% plus the current Libor rate.

Warren Buffett, Obama donor and namesake of the infamous “Buffett Rule,” invested $5 billion in Bank of America last year in an effort to help the ailing financial institution. Last month, two weeks after OFA took out the loan, Bank of America announced a plan that would lay off 16,000 workers by the end of the year. (LINK)

CHEVY’S LOW VOLTAGE VOLT

 

General Motors has temporarily suspended production of its Volt electric car, the company announced Friday. GM, which is based in Detroit, announced to employees at one of its facilities that it was halting production of the beleaguered electric car for five weeks and temporarily laying off 1,300 employees. A GM spokesman told The Hill on Friday that production of the Volt would resume April 23. 

“We needed to maintain proper inventory and make sure that we continued to meet market demand,” GM spokesman Chris Lee said in a telephone interview. Lee noted that sales of the Volt were higher in February than they were in January, and added that California recently decided to allow the electric car to qualify for High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes in the state. “We see positive trends, but we needed to make this market adjustment,” he said. Ok so it’s bad enough that Chevy has conspired with the Obama administration to foist this failed flaming-fuse box car on us. It’s bad enough that the Obama administration has wasted billions of tax payer dollars bailing out GM and the UAW. It’s criminal that the Obama administration has saddled our children with trillions in debt because of their “green energy” schemes. But you know what ticks me off the most? It’s the outright lies they tell and the MSM prints with no vetting or criticism.

Really Chris? Proper inventory? As far as I can tell the lots are full of UNSOLD Volts because no one wants an OBAMACAR! The Volt is a failure as will be any electric car that doesn’t get 200 miles on a charge and can be fully re-charged in less than an hour with batteries that last ten years.

After reading my boy Wyatt’s post about President Obama’s lack of class for chewing gum during the G-20 summit in Europe (where he did nothing of substance while back here in America his endorsed ”Occupy” protests turn increasingly violent), I ran across this story about another equally classless move by the White House.

Look, in the big scheme of things I understand that the President of the United States is busy destroying the economy and making plans to hand Afghanistan over to the Taliban. I get it. But this illustrates YET AGAIN his total contempt for American tradition and values. Whether you like baseball or not, it is the national pastime and has been for over a hundred years. It has long been a reflection of our nation and has endured through war and peace, as well as periods of economic and social upheaval.  Sports are a big  part of our economy, and are important to the social fabric of our country-  and the pride of millions of Americans.

Americans, like most people, take their sports seriously and winning a championship as legendary and storied as the World Series is a big deal. The traditional call from the President is a source of pride for the team, the city and the club management. Not making a simple phone call even for a busy President is really a low-class move. Especially for a guy surrounded by taxpayer-funded staff and world-class communications technology 24-7; and who always seems to find the time and media coverage to fill out college basketball brackets…

These solar car competitors could teach the Obama administration a simple lesson: it takes HARD WORK to perfect an idea for mass consumption. Just wasting a half a billion dollars doesn't get the job done.

Looking through walls is no longer something we read about in comic books or watch in Supermanmovies. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Lincoln Laboratory has presented new radar technology that would allow humans to see through a solid wall.

Ok as we know the “Occupy Wall Street” mob is attacking just about everything that makes America great including free enterprise and capitalism. On some level we can excuse the dopey twenty-somethings in the crowd as victims of ignorance and poor schooling. We expect college kids to be idiots. Just go to any campus on a Friday or Saturday night and you will see what I mean. But there are exceptions as we will see.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Employers stopped adding jobs in August, an alarming setback for an economy that has struggled to grow and might be at risk of another recession. The government also reported that the unemployment rate remained at 9.1 percent. It was the weakest jobs report since September 2010.

Stocks tumbled on the news. The Dow Jones industrial average sank more than 190 points in early-morning trading. A strike by 45,000 Verizon workers lowered the job totals. Those workers are now back on the job. The weakness in employment was underscored by revisions to the jobs data for June and July. Collectively, those figures were lowered to show 58,000 fewer jobs added. The downward revisions were all in government jobs. LINK

I’m pretty sure there will be others posting on this catastrophe but I have to chime in. As America waits with bated breath for the Dear Leaders vaunted jobs plan due out tonight (networks permitting), the statistics just keep getting worse. Nearly three years into the Obama administration the economy is in shambles, foreign policy is non-existent or schizophrenic at best and the federal government is growing like a Hydra taking over or over-regulating more and more of our lives. But hey liberals take heart. George Clooney still says he’s the smartest and most comppassionate Dear Leader we’ve ever had. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy. CINDER BLOCK 2012!

Were The Men Of Seal Team 6 Taught Not To ‘Bully Back’?– The Left’s Attack On Manhood

Barack Obama is a president at odds with himself. On the one hand, he and his aides are carefully cultivating his new image as the gritty and decisive Commander-in-Chief, making the call to take out Osama bin Laden for the safety of untold Americans. On the other hand, his health care, stimulus, and other social spending sprees have made him the most intrusive Nanny-in-Chief since LBJ, though he is giving the author of the Great Society a run for his money. The incongruity is all the more telling when we cut through the rhetoric and bogus philosophy of the progressive state and actually figure out what the Left’s agenda is. It is quite simply a campaign to eliminate manhood. LINK

This article is simply awesome. If you take a good look at society today you can see this happening all around us. Simply put – it is no longer fashionable to be a MAN. Manhood is slowly being squeezed from our society. Boys are being taught that being a boy, growing into a powerful, successful, well-rounded and adjusted individual, a MAN is wrong. They are openly discouraged from dominating their environment be it the athletic field, the workplace, the bedroom, the classroom or the board room. Any man who violates these norms is looked upon as a Neandertal, and abuser, a homophobe, insensitive, racist and singled out for “re-education”.

This isn’t something that is played out in a direct lesson plan. Rather it is being implemented by how our society is structuring the education and social norms that influence boys as they develop. You can hardly escape the systemic oppression even as adults. Anyone else been subjected to “sensitivity training” at work? We have. Mass re-education that dictates “sensitivity” to cultural abnormalities or acceptance of less equal or unqualified performance is now mandatory. We are told that male achievement isn’t the standard anymore. Lower standards are “just as good”. Performance is relative and excellence is discouraged lest it make others UNCOMFORTABLE.

We are watching feminism and liberalism try to relegate manhood into irrelevance to the extreme detriment of our boys and young men. This is where the left and feminists are pushing us. It is a hostile place where men need not apply.

Being a semi-busy ordinary American I have a lot to worry about / deal with on a daily basis. The job, paying the bills, raising a family, writing my stupid blog. You know the stuff that leaves you exhausted at the end of nearly every day as you look back and lament the things you DIDN’T get to. To that end I like things like BANK STATEMENTS simple, easy to understand and straight to the point. But thanks to his most exalted-immaculation, president and all-powerful potentate, El Presidente’ Obama, life just got a little more complicated.

This is the actual notice I received in the mail today with my monthly bank statement. The people at the bank are clearly not happy about being forced by an all-knowing and powerful federal government to re-configure the monthly statements when there was nothing wrong with them in the first place. Talk about micro-management and wasted effort. Well, I’ll sleep easy tonight knowing that the Feds have my back. Hope / Change!

ERIC HOLDER MUST RESIGN…PERIOD

In emotional and personal testimony, an ex-Justice official who quit over the handling of a voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party accused his former employer of instructing attorneys in the civil rights division to ignore cases that involve black defendants and white victims.

J. Christian Adams, testifying Tuesday before the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, said that “over and over and over again,” the department showed “hostility” toward those cases. He described the Black Panther case as one example of that — he defended the legitimacy of the suit and said his “blood boiled” when he heard a Justice official claim the case wasn’t solid. ”It is false,” Adams said of the claim. “We abetted wrongdoing and abandoned law-abiding citizens,” he later testified. LINK

This story isn’t getting a whole lot of attention from the MSM (as you can imagine) mainly because it is so devastating to the Obama administration but I assure you it isn’t going away. Eric Holder’s Justice Department has been exposed for what it is- a corrupt, racially bias organization that refuses to dispense equal justice under the law. Now one of the lawyers deeply involved in the Black Panther case has resigned in disgust and become a whistle-blower.

Let’s be very clear: at this point this has grown beyond the Black Panther case that brought this despicable behavior to light. It is about the perception Americans have about whether or not we can rely on one of most important institutions to dispense colorblind justice. Eric Holder has been the wrong man for this job from the start unless President Obama approves of his DOJ’s conduct. If that is the case what could be more shocking?  While many on the right would expect as much this has to be a blow to our liberal countrymen who voted for “HOPE” & “CHANGE”.

The DOJ’s conduct under Eric Holder is either that of a rogue agency that authorizes its lawyers to look the other way at crimes committed by blacks against whites, or it is wholly sanctioned by the Obama administration. I can’t decide which is worse. In any event Holder’s conduct and administration of the DOJ has become an embarrassment to his boss. Holder staying there will only further erode the dwindling confidence Americans have in their federal government.

For everyone’s sake he must go. Now!
