NEW JERSEY DECALRES WAR ON BRAZIL

TRENTON, NJ – Things could get hairy in New Jersey this summer for women who sport revealing bikinis or a little bit less.

The painful Brazilian wax and its intimate derivatives are in danger of being stripped from salon and spa menus if a recent proposal to ban genital waxing is passed by the state’s Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling.

Cherry Hill salon owner Linda Orsuto said that women would “go ballistic” if the proposal passed. She said that some women would resort to waxing themselves, visiting unlicensed salons or traveling to other states, including Pennsylvania, in a quest to remain bare down there.

“The clients are going to freak,” said Orsuto, who owns 800 West Salon & Spa, on Route 70. “It’s a hot issue, and we’re going to have to do something.”

New Jersey statutes allow waxing of the face, neck, arms, legs and abdomen, but officials say that genital waxing has always been illegal, although not spelled out”. LINK

NOTE: You can only imagine how difficult it was to comment on this story without getting an “X” rating. Ditto on the picture. Just typing the word “Brazil” in a Google search is dangerous enough without adding any qualifiers.

At least I thought thats what was happening. Until I read the whole story. So are you going to tell me these liberal nuts aren’t insane? They want to REGULATE EVERY ASPECT OF OUR LIVES! The People’s Republic of New Jersey much like Kalifornia is totally out of control. With all the problems we have these days the fact that they are seriously entertaining this tells me that our government has totally lost control. Something has to give. Somebody please help! These politicians are insane.

    Huh?? LOL

Yes, they are insane. Liberalism is a mental disease. Quinn’s frist law (warroom.com): “Liberalism always generates the exact opposite of its stated intent.” Check my post Micro Tyranus on some similar–but not nearly as bad–meddling at the municipal level.
    BTW, nice site.

I guess the “right to privacy” doesn’t extend to pubic hair.

Women will continue to have this done whether they have done illegally, go over to another state, try it on their own, or get the help of a friend.

This whole thing is absurd. If a woman is putting the money out for this and the proper procedures are in place, there’s little chance of infection.

Geez, they even had Casey Boy (WMMR) get waxed on air and he said he kind of liked it (of course this was after the initial shock!).

Some rules mean nothing, and this is one of them. It’s not going away.

John Corzine may be the worst governor in America.

hehehe- One can only laugh at the absurdities that continue to be promulgated by NY/NJ/PA…

“Fools rush in where wise men fear to tread” goes the old adage. It may apply in this instance.

If New Jersey banns bikini waxing, then a lot of women are either going to do it themselves, which is very dangerous, or go to other salons in other states where it’s still legal to have a bikini wax done.
So, by passing this law, they’re probably making it worse anyway, because a lot of women are probably just going to have it done unprofessionally at home, which is even more dangerous! NJ is just making a minor problem even worse!
