Make no mistake about it: For an Eagles fan it just doesn’t get any better than this. Beating the ever-loving crap out of Dallas in a make or break game to secure a playoff spot! If we lost every other game this season this would have made it all okay. (Not really.) But that’s how much we can’t stand the stinking Cowboys around here.
We have finally figured out the secret to success – limit Donovan McNabb’s playing time. *SNARK*. Just keep the defense on the field as much as possible.
In an incredible chain of events, all the planets lined up for Philly today. Oakland beat Tampa Bay IN Tampa! Chicago loses to Houston and we beat Dallas. There’s just no way… but that’s the reality of the NFL today. On any given Sunday anything really can happen.
So we play the Vikings next week. Guess what? We can beat them, too. It just depends on which Eagles team shows up. The team that destroyed Dallas and ran up 44 points, or the team that laid down to the Redskins. A lot of that depends on Fat Andy calling some decent plays and McNabb showing up as well. My opinion is the only way they come back next year is with Super Bowl rings.
Things are about to get interesting. Maybe I won’t pack my green shirt away just yet…
