EAGLES PLAYOFF CHANCES COOKED

December 21, 2008

That’s right, the EAGLES blew it today in Maryland. Their dismal offense put only 3 points on the board all afternoon as they lost 10 -3 to the Washington Redskins in an entirely winnable game.

Once again, the Eagles failed to establish the run and passed anemically the entire game. As expected, Donovan McNabb came up short in yet another big game. The frustrating thing is – as usual – the Birds COULD HAVE WON if but for a small degree of field generalship and some aggressive, creative play calling.

Dropped passes abounded and atrocious play calling combined to torpedo their ever shrinking chances to make the playoffs.

Well at least we have Christmas Cheerleaders.

I hear The Ghost of Christmas Future and he is moaning “Rebuilding year.” Time for McNabb and Reid to fade into the past.

JOE BIDEN: FUTURE VICE PRESIDENT AND STILL A DOPE

December 21, 2008

Will somebody please shut him up…

How many people start off a new job by trying to WEAKEN their authority BEFORE they even take over? No kidding, that’s Joe Biden for you. Biden is possibly the LAMEST politician in Washington right behind Harry Reid. If you want to get an idea about this guys intellectual “gravitas,” Vice President Cheney sums it up for us here:

The current vice president , appearing on “Fox News Sunday,” taught a lesson in constitutional law before brushing off Mr. Biden’s criticism as “campaign rhetoric”:

[Mr. Biden] also said that the — all the powers and responsibilities of the executive branch are laid out in Article 1 of the Constitution. Well, they’re not. Article 1 of the Constitution is the one on the legislative branch. Joe’s been chairman of the Judiciary Committee, a member of the Judiciary Committee in the Senate, for 36 years, teaches constitutional law back in Delaware, and can’t keep straight which article of the Constitution provides for the legislature and which provides for the executive. So I think — I write that off as campaign rhetoric. I don’t take it seriously. And if he wants to diminish the office of vice president, that’s obviously his call.

Yeah you gotta love Dick Cheney, Prince of Darkness that he is. We are in for some serious trouble with Biden being a “heartbeat away” as the left whined during the election. In case you wondered about Biden’s view of the Vice Presidency he spells it out for us:

His role, Mr. Biden said, would be “to give the president of the United States the best, sagest, most accurate, most insightful advice and recommendations” he can offer.

So Joe Biden in his own words thinks that the Vice President should essentially give the President his advice and opinion on things. In that case, I guess Sarah Palin would have been utterly incapable of advising the President on issues like: Abortion, womens’ rights, childrens’ health and disability programs, taxes in relation to blue collar families, gun control, energy policy in relation to our environment, education, or ANY other domestic issue like health care. Thank God, because we are SOOO much better off with Joe Biden whispering in Barack Obama’s ear. He’s really smart and knows TONS about stuff. Just listen, he’ll tell you so. Ugh.

SO… if you want to read about the stark contrast in philosophies between the two men, here’s the link to the article. LINK
