HEY PEOPLE, THE EAGLES WON!

Okay, everyone out there who reads this blog gets an “F.” NO ONE called me out for not posting the Eagles Cheerleaders this weekend. In case you missed it, the Eagles HUMILIATED the stinking NY Giants thanks to Plaxico Burress’ prowess with a gun! What exactly is a “Plaxico,” anyway? I digress.

Ritt finally called me on it, so I guess SOMEONE cares. Usually Wyatt would have NEVER let something like that slip, but now he’s got so many rug rats running around that these things are bound to happen. So good call, Ritt. Are you just keeping me honest or do you have a thing for cheerleaders?

WHAT ABOUT CONGRESS?

December 9, 2008

dc-us-capitol

By now we have all heard that Barack Obama and some of his cronies in Congress think that some of the Big Three auto execs should be losing their jobs. Now whether or not those dim wits should be fired is a matter for the companies board of directors, not politicians in Washington. Imagine if the President of the United States said he thought YOU should be fired? What kind of thing is that to say, especially for the President? I guess he’s now in charge of hiring and firing people HE doesn’t think meet HIS expectations.

He also said this week that the economy would get worse before it gets better. Way to go, idiot. Even if that’s true, a PRESIDENT SHOULD NEVER SAY THAT OUT LOUD! Oy vey! Even Sarah Palin knows enough not to blurt that out.

Look, if anyone should be fired, it’s the idiots in Congress WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE for this disaster. It wasn’t GM who forced the banks to make bad mortgage loans that started this whole chain reaction, it was the banking committee. Now Congress is trying to undo the damage by throwing BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars at these companies they helped destroy with their mind-numbing anti-business laws. If anyone should lose their jobs, look no further:

Congress, their cronies in the UAW and the environmental wacko lobby have made it nearly impossible for the American car makers to compete. Just like they make it nearly impossible for the Oil Companies to get us the fuel we need. The Big Three have made mistakes as well, but government big and small is the natural enemy of the auto industry.

Just like BIG TOBACCO. Remember Joe Camel? Remember how BIG TOBACCO was the enemy of the day until they agreed to all the extortion lawsuits and paid up zillions of dollars? As long as they paid the extortion they can stay in business. Funny how Congress never had a problem with all of the tax revenue cigarettes brought in.

How about the BIG PHARMACEUTICAL companies? Poor Americans are dying in the streets because they can’t get the drugs THEY MAKE! So Americans are going to Canada to get cheaper drugs – except those drugs are rip offs of those produced in America. So naturally, Congress declares the Pharmaceutical companies enemies of the state and threatens them with all kinds of punitive measures… for doing their job. Now we have a big government run drug plan.

We all know about Congress’ hatred of the firearm industry (BIG GUN?). They routinely threaten to bankrupt or legislate them out of existence  – either by outright bans or exorbitant ammunition taxes.

I remember their luxury tax a few years ago. Remember when they hiked the taxes on yachts so high that they nearly destroyed the yacht manufacturing industry? Bright, very bright.

So now we have people who aren’t capable of running a lemonade stand threatening to take over one of the biggest sectors of our economy. This after they have squandered BILLIONS of tax payers dollars and wrecked a thriving EXPANDING economy through stupidity and ideology. BRAVO, DOPES.

Congress shouldn’t be allowed to interfere. If the car companies have to file for bankruptcy then so be it. Either a stronger industry will emerge or they will go the way of so many airlines.

BRAVO INDEED!
